Residents vote against merger between Canajoharie, Fort Plain school districts

People living in Canajoharie and Fort plain voted against a school merger in straw poll.

The vote was to see if residents were interested in bringing the school districts together which they voted against.

The boards of education now have one year to revisit the question of a merger and put the question to the community for a revote if they choose to do so.
