The North Adams Police Department is mourning the passing of retired K-9 Chuck.

Chuck served the city from 2013 to 2018 and was retired when his handler, Al Zoito, took a promotion to sergeant.

Chuck was often seen at the city schools and city events.

He lived with Zoito’s family until his passing on Saturday.
