Reward offered to identify person who abandoned Rensselaer dog

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a person who abandoned a dog in Rensselaer.
The dog was found abandoned and in distress left on a 3rd Street porch on Saturday morning. He was taken to the Capital District Rescue Hospital, where it had to be euthanized.
The New York State Humane Association is offering the reward.
The dog was about two years old, black with white spots and had a distinct color.
