In a letter sent to members, Bishop Edward Scharfenberger said the diocese is facing a “financial and maintenance crisis.”
The diocese has 126 buildings said the Bishop, which he calls “too many.”
The bishop said he will share more details in weeks to come, launching on Pentecost Sunday, which is June 8.
It comes weeks after the diocese announced it will close All Saints Catholic Academy in Albany and Sacred Heart School in Troy.
