The Rotterdam Town Board member accused of stealing mail while running for state Assembly is due in court next month, according to Schenectady City Court.
The Rotterdam Town Board member accused of stealing mail while running for state Assembly is due in court next month, according to Schenectady City Court.
Joe Mastroianni, a Republican, is facing misdemeanor charges for allegedly stealing political mail from the Rotterdam home. The alleged crime was caught on a Ring video doorbell. Mastroianni eventually lost the election to Democratic incumbent Angelo Santbarbara.
Mastroianni’s case was transferred to Schenectady County Court in November.
His appearance is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 6 at 10 a.m.
