Santa’s Magical Express kicks off Friday
Santa’s Magic Express kicks off Friday night for the season at Yankee Trails.
This is the 12th year that the business has offered Capital Region residents an opportunity to enjoy Christmas activities all in one place.
Yankee Trails President Stephen Tobin said the whole concept started with a book that his sister wrote about Christmas.
“Yankee Trails fell in love with the book, bought the rights to the book, and we said ‘if we’re going to do this, let’s go wild with the story,’” he said.
The event starts with a meet-and-greet with Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and some of Santa’s elves including Twinkle and Sprinkle.
The 90-minute interactive experience is an opportunity to help save Christmas. People will board a bus to help Santa get his hat back from Jack Frost who stole it. All while having lots of holiday fun. There are special guests and many surprises along the way.
“The bus comes alive so that’s a new feature this year. Every year, we made the show a little bit better and bring more energy to it every year we do it,” he said.
The performances will be every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday until Dec. 23.
