Saratoga Casino Hotel utilizes robotic room service to tend to guest needs

Meet Sara, a room service robot tending to guests at Saratoga Casino Hotel.

If you happen to be a guest at Saratoga Casino Hotel and order room service overnight, you may meet someone new on the job: “Sara,” the room service robot.

“Sara,” short for “Saratoga, was first considered by Saratoga Casino Hotel Director of Operations Matt Cudemo at during the pandemic. Hotel workers were leaving the hospitality industry in droves, and Cudemo was struggling to find reliable replacements. He began researching the possibility of purchasing a robotic room service machine – and soon after, “Sara” was born.

“The biggest impact right now is during the overnight hours,” said Cudemo, “That’s when guests realize they’re going to need extra towels. They want, maybe, extra coffee for the morning.”

NewsChannel 13’s Dan Levy spent some time with “Sara,” testing out her customer service skills firsthand. Watch his story to hear more about what she can do for you the next time you stay at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
