Saratoga meet canceled Friday due to heavy rain expected

The 10-race card for Friday, Aug. 9 has been canceled at Saratoga Race Course due to heavy rainfall and high winds expected to hit the area, NYRA announced Thursday.
The region is set to be hit with the remnants from Tropical Storm Debby.
Friday’s featured $125,000 Evan Shipman and $125,000 Union Avenue will be rescheduled.
The track will be closed to the public and breakfast and track tours will not be offered. People who purchased tickets are entitled to receive a full refund or credit for a future purchase and will be contacted by the NYRA sales office.
