Saratoga Springs restaurants, bars bank on big Belmont bucks
There are 100 or so bars and taverns in Saratoga Springs. They are all looking to cash in on Belmont. In fact, the bars might be even busier this weekend due to changes at the track that ban alcohol for the Belmont Stakes.

One bar is raising money for charity. King’s Tavern has a big parking lot directly across the main entrance to the track, and instead of putting up a giant tent to sell more beer, they’re using it to park cars for a cause.
Money raised from parking will benefit Keri Alonzo, the local singer, wife and mother who is battling colon cancer. It’s $50 on Friday, $100 on Saturday and $25 on Sunday.
