Around 40,000 people are expected to sample chowders at Saratoga Springs Chowderfest on Saturday, and restaurants are ready.

The Chowderfest is one of the biggest annual chowder festivals in the country.

The festival goes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., but the crowds don’t go home right away. They often stick around and have a meal, or even stay overnight.

Organizers recommend being prepared for both chowder and for parking or riding if you’re going. There are free shuttles to and from the Saratoga Casino.

There’s also a special tribute to Chowderfest artist Hud Armstrong, who passed away in 2022. He designed the shirt every year since the beginning.

Learn about the huge amount of chowder one of the restaurants is making for the event by watching the video of Mark Mulhollands story.
