Saratoga Springs special election Jan. 28 to elect new public works commissioner
A special election is happening later this month to decide the new Saratoga Springs commissioner of public works.
This is to fill the vacancy left behind by former Commissioner of Public Works Jason Golub.
Polls will be open in the city on Jan. 28 from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m., but you can get your votes in ahead of time with early voting.
Early voting begins at the Saratoga Springs Rec Center on Saturday, Jan. 18 and runs every day through Sunday, January 26.
As NewsChannel 13 reported, Golub stepped down to take a job with the state of New York.
We told you first on 13 Golub is also facing charges, accused of using a city worker to do work for Golub on city time. He is due back in court on Jan. 9.
Meanwhile, Hank Kuczysnki is holding the position until this month’s special election.
