A Schenectady man on Friday admitted to sexually abusing a 7-year-old on an Albany bus – after an appeals court overturned his original sentence.

Ynnad White, 35, pleaded guilty in Albany County Court to criminal sexual act.

White worked as a bus monitor in Albany. He had sexual contact with the child between March 2021 and June 2021, according to the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.

White is facing 11 years in prison when sentenced on July 16.

White’s original sentencing was overturned by the state Appellate Division in October 2024. Prosecutors said that the justices ruled that the initial charge that he faced, predatory sexual assault against a child, could not be resolved before the grand jury.

The sentence was vacated, but the case could be retried.
