A Schenectady man has admitted to shooting a man in Halfmoon last January. Justin Wagner, 26, now faces 16 years in prison when sentenced July 15.

A Schenectady man has admitted to shooting a man in Halfmoon last January.

Justin Wagner, 26, now faces 16 years in prison when sentenced July 15.

Wagner shot the victim in the hand and lower leg. He had driven to Halfmoon to confront the man over a personal dispute.

Wagner built the AR-15 that was used, according to investigators.

Thankfully, the victim survived.

Sentencing is scheduled for July 15. Wagner also faces 2 ½ years of post-release supervision.
