Schenectady mayor: No unnecessary driving during storm
A state of emergency has been declared in Schenectady due to the snow, effective at 10 p.m. on Monday until 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy says there will be no unnecessary driving in the city during that time.
He also said people should remove their cars from the roads so snowplows have an easier time clearing roads.
Garbage collection for District 3 in the Mont Pleasant and Bellevue neighborhoods – along with the village of Scotia – is being moved from Tuesday to Saturday this week.
