Schenectady Police to give update on homicide investigation

Schenectady Police will be holding a news conference at 1 p.m. to update the public on its investigation into the murder of a 42-year-old man.
Officers were dispatched to the area of 764 State St. at around 6:49 a.m. on Sunday after receiving multiple calls for shots fired at that location. Police found a man on the second floor of the building with apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of family.
