The Schenectady Belmont Pop Warner Youth Football teams made history last weekend.

Five teams qualified for the Capital District Pop Warner Super Bowls.

The kids and with their coaches had a lot of motivation this year, as they dedicated the season to a very special person.

George Rose – longtime president of the program – passed away in April. He was 88.

He was a mentor, a father figure and a friend to the players.
