School community in mourning after old Doane Stuart School burns

Alumnae, parents and former students of Doane Stuart are mourning the loss of their beloved former school campus Friday.
A school administrator at the current Rensselaer campus said it was a tough day for the school community.
NewsChannel 13 spoke to an alumna from the 1970s who described spending her days in the old wood-carved building and playing hide-and-seek around the expansive campus. She said the tears started flowing Thursday evening after she learned of the fire.
