Sentencing delayed in bizarre Saratoga County plane stalking case

Sentencing has been delayed for a Schuylerville man convicted of stalking a woman with his plane.

Michael Arnold was supposed to be sentenced Tuesday for nine counts of criminal contempt. That was moved to Sept. 3.

Arnold, 65, used his 180 single-engine airplane at Bennington Airport to stalk a woman.

He could face up to 4 years for each count. However, that number could change.
Arnold was arrested in October of 2023 and pleaded guilty back in May. He violated an order of protection, police said.

He was supposed to stop contacting a woman who accused him of stalking.
Arnold even sent messages from a fake Facebook account, the victim said.
