Parole hearing moved for sex offender found inside Bethlehem schools
A Level 3 sex offender who was at two Bethlehem schools was set to appear in front of a parole board on Tuesday. However, his parole hearing was pushed back to March 12.
As NewsChannel 13 reported last week, Michael Wilson’s ankle monitor went off.
Officers found he had been inside Slingerlands Elementary School and Bethlehem Middle School, they said.
Wilson was allegedly on school property because his employer was subcontracted to do construction work at the two schools, the superintendent said.
Screening protocols were not followed, said the superintendent, which caused this security lapse.
Wilson could have his parole revoked for being on school property.
He will remain in Warren County Jail until the hearing.
