Sheriff: Clifton Park man hit person in the head with guitar

A Clifton Park man is accused of hitting another person on their head with a guitar.

Nicholas A. Gidley, 34, allegedly assaulted the person on Lapp Road in the town of Clifton Park just after 1 a.m. on Monday, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said.

The victim was taken to Samaritan Hospital for evaluation and treatment of a cut to their head.

Gidley was charged with second-degree assault. He was released on an appearance ticket and due in Clifton Park Town Court at a later date.
