Sheriff: Pair made false statements regarding tampered medication to person with disabilities

Two people are facing charges for allegedly making false statements about tampered medication given to a person at a Saratoga County facility for people with disabilities.

Two people are facing charges for allegedly making false statements about tampered medication given to a person at a Saratoga County facility for people with disabilities.

Allyson N. Owens, 46, of Glens Falls, is accused of giving medication to a client at Saratoga Bridges knowing that it had been tampered with, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said. Owens also provided a false sworn statement to police, according to investigators.

Andrew R. Dumas is also accused of making false statements to police and the Justice Center.

Owens was charged with endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person and making a punishable false written statement. Dumas was charged with falsifying a business record and making a punishable false written statement.

They were released on appearance tickets and are due in Greenfield Town Court at a later date.

The New York State Department of Health, Bureau of Narctics Enforcement assisted in the investigation.
