Person killed in Schenectady shooting

One person was shot and killed at a Schenectady bar.

It happened just before 1 a.m. Friday.

Police say when they got to the scene, they found 24-year-old John Bass of Schenectady suffering from a gunshot wound, inside the Vibez Bar & Lounge on State Street.

He was treated at the scene and taken to Ellis Hospital, where he later died.

The shooting remains under investigation and police are asking for anyone with any information to give them a call.
