The Shenendehowa Central School District is warning students and parents that busy pickups may be late because of severe shortage of drivers.

The district posted a statement on its Facebook page that the transportation department is dealing with increased personnel absences because of the holidays. They are asking for the public’s patience and support and not to call the department if the bus is late. Office staff are likely out on routes assisting and they are doing their best, the district said.

Anyone who is interested in becoming a driver, they are asked to call the Transportation Department or the Office of Human Resources at 518-881-0600.
