Sleeping in vehicle leads to drug charges for pair
Falling asleep in a vehicle lead to the arrest of two Greenfield residents on drug charges.
Police responded to the area of Centerline Road in the town of Providence on Aug. 1 just before 11 a.m. to check a person. Deputies discovered Jason O. Allen, 44, or Courtney E. Gilboy, 27, asleep in a vehicle, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
They allegedly had a narcotic drug, 500 mg or more of cocaine and a scale used to weigh drugs.
Allen and Gilboy were with three felony and one misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance as well as criminal use of drug paraphernalia. They were arraigned in Milton Town Court. Allen was sent to Saratoga County Jail and Gilboy was released to pretrial services pending burther action in this matter.
