Son of Dave Casey remembers legendary Adirondack Red Wings athletic trainer
The entire Glens Falls community felt surprise and sadness last summer when Dave Casey passed away suddenly at home. He was 76.
As a teacher, coach and athletic trainer, Casey was a multiplier. He impacted generations of people in this area of Warren County.
No matter how well you knew him, there’s a very good chance you knew just to call him “Case.”
Casey was born in Glens Falls and was a member of the Adirondack Red Wings organization as the team’s athletic trainer when it was founded in 1979. His Hall-of-Fame plaque hangs on the wall of the Cool Insuring Arena alongside the other franchise greats.
Casey’s son, Jeff, now works for the Adirondack Thunder, which now plays at the arena.
Hear him discuss his father’s legacy by watching the video of Chris Onorato’s story.
