South Glens Falls man indicted in murder
A South Glens Falls man is facing a murder charge for allegedly killing an Albany man.
Jeff Henderson, 20, was indicted Thursday on a second-degree murder charge. He is accused of shooting Benjamin Rowe on June 25 at about 2 a.m. in the area of 503 Hamilton St. Henderson is also charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
Henderson was sent to Albany County Jail and will return to court on Oct. 27.
The Times Union, which first reported the indictment, said Rowe was well known in the Albany music community and was a promoter of up-and-coming artists.
Assistant District Attorneys Bryanne Perlanski and Joseph Brucato, the chief of the Major Crimes Unit, are handling the prosecution of this case.
