Sprite ditching iconic green bottle after 60+ years

Get ready to say goodbye to those iconic green Sprite bottles.
Starting next week, after more than 60 years, Sprite is ditching its familiar green bottles in favor of clear ones that are easier to recycle.
The current bottles contain a compound that can typically only be recycled for use in single-use items.
The new bottles can be recycled and used in the production of new bottles, over and over again.
The coming change was first announced earlier this year.

The changeover is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
Coca-Cola, Sprite’s parent company, has pledged to make all of its packaging recyclable by 2025.
