St. Clare’s pension lawsuits to be consolidated

It’s been three years since the pension fund for St. Clare’s retirees was wiped out.

Now, a judge is ruling that the St. Clare’s pensioner lawsuit should merge with the attorney general’s lawsuit, which was filed back in May.

Letitia James accuses the Diocesan Corporation of deliberately breaking the law and ignoring a process that denied St. Clare’s workers the money they were depending on to get them through their retirement years.

The diocese appealed the judge’s decision.
