State of emergency issued for much of Montgomery County
There is a state of emergency in much of Montgomery County. All unnecessary travel is now prohibited.
There is a state of emergency in much of Montgomery County. All unnecessary travel is now prohibited.
This includes the towns of St. Johnsville, Minden, Root, Palatine, Canajoharie, Mohawk, Glen and Charleston. Whiteout conditions are still expected out that way.
Emergency responders have been actively dealing with multiple car crashes on State Highway 30A, State Highway 5S, and Highway 10.
If you must travel, expect hazardous conditions and be prepared to stop suddenly. Stay safe, and give first responders the space to work.
