Power restored to Fulton County after Monday’s storm

Gloversville hit hard by storm damage

Gloversville hit hard by storm damage including at the home of Ken and Barbara Cardenas.

Power has been restored to Fulton County after strong storms that blew through the Capital Region Monday knocked down trees and wires.

NewsChannel 13’s Dan Levy talked to a couple on East Boulevard in Gloversville that had a tree fall down on their property.

The Cardenas family had recently taken down a similar tree a few weeks ago and now they are wondering if they took down the wrong tree.

“I was making dinner and all of a sudden, I heard this really loud noise,” said Barbara Cardenas. “It got very cloudy and very stormy really fast, and then just a big, huge noise; so I ran that way. I was very surprised because it took the deck out.”

Ken Cardenas said he was in the kitchen, and as he ran through the living room, he saw another tree come down by the bay window. There are parts of the tree all over the yard.

Nobody was hurt.
