Three accused of stealing from Amsterdam Walmart

Three accused of stealing from Amsterdam Walmart and then causing a hit-and-run crash.

Three people stole from Amsterdam Walmart and then crashed into a parked car leaving the scene, investigators said.

Police were called to the Walmart in the town of Amsterdam on Friday, July 19 for a hit-and-run crash, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. A white pickup truck struck a parked vehicle and then left the scene.

A Montgomery County sergeant was able to find the truck parked on Log City Road.

Ernest J. Fancher, 25, of Gloversville, Angelina L. Loubriel, 31, of Lake George, and Mark A. Witthohn, 38, of Middle Grove were all arrested. 

All three are facing grand larceny charges. Fancher is also charged with burglary and aggravated unlicensed operation. Ernest was sent to Montgomery County Jail without bail. The others were released and due in Amsterdam Town Court at a later date.
