Suspicious death in Albany ruled a homicide

A dead body found in Albany Wednesday is now being investigated as a homicide. Police have identified the victim as Jamier Allen, 24.

A dead body found in Albany Wednesday is now being investigated as a homicide.

Police have identified the victim as Jamier Allen, 24, of Albany.

Allen was found dead on Boenau Street around 4 p.m., shot in the head and body.

He had recently been reported missing.

A vigil was held at the scene for Jamier today. Family and friends lit candles and let balloons fly into the sky in honor of Jamier.

“Jamier’s life was cut short, and his family is now faced with the unimaginable loss of their son, brother, and friend. Jamier was known for his vibrant spirit, warm smile, and kind heart. He touched the lives of many, and his absence will be deeply felt. Jamier I’m so hurt, and I love you I miss you from your mom and dad. Anyone with information please come forward.”
