Suspicious deaths in Pawlet, VT, State Police investigating
The Vermont State Police say they are investigating suspicious deaths that happened in the town of Pawlet, Vermont.
Pawlet is located in Rutland County, VT.
Police say they received a call early Sunday morning reporting a suspicious person. Investigation led police to a residence on VT Route 133, where Troopers found deceased victims.
State Police say the investigation is in its preliminary stages, and agencies including the Vermont State Police Major Crime Unit, Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Crime Scene Search Team, Field Force Division, and Victim Services Unit are all involved.
The victims’ bodies will be taken to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Officer in Burlington for autopsies to determine cause and manner of death, said State Police.
Police added that the victims’ names will be released after confirmation of identities and notification of relatives.
