A man has completed his 315-mile swim down the length of the Hudson River.

Lewis Pugh swam over the course of the last month, including a stop in Troy.

Pugh set off a month ago from the Adirondacks with the goal of swimming the length of the Hudson River unassisted.

That means he’s just in a swim cap, goggles and a Speedo.

He completed his swim Wednesday, making him the first person to swim the full length of the Hudson.

He swam to raise awareness of the importance of clean rivers.
