Swimmers safe after dramatic water rescue near Corinth Bridge

Two people are safe, after a dramatic water rescue in Warren County.
Warren County Sheriff’s Department Patrol Sergeant Pasquale Girard noticed two swimmers in the Hudson River as he was driving across the Corinth Bridge. The swimmers were struggling in the strong currents.
After calling 911, Girard jumped into the river to help the swimmers.
Deputy Nick Milligan arrived a short time later, and he also jumped into the river while in uniform to help the swimmers.
Both people were evaluated at the scene by EMS and are reported to be in good health.
