Tax deadline extended for some until May 1 due to natural disasters

The deadline for some tax filers in areas affected by natural disasters has been extended this year to May 1.

Residents across more than nine states will automatically receive the extensions, including all of Florida, North and South Carolina, Alabama and Georgia.

Other specific areas in four other states have also been granted the automatic extensions.
