Police release name of teen killed in overnight shooting

1 teen dead, another in hospital after shooting

A late night party in Schenectady turned deadly after one teenager was killed, another one is in stable condition after surgery.

Police say 15-year-old Dubar T. Knowles of Schenectady died after suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.

Schenectady Police say they got multiple reports of shots fired on Congress Street at about 11:20 p.m. last night.

Police say they saw a large crowd running from the area.

Officers found the teen with gunshot wounds in the backyard of 1122 Congress Street.

A 13-year-old teen girl also suffered gunshot wound to her head and neck area.

Both teens were transported to a local hospital.

The teen boy died from his injuries and the 13-year-old is listed in stable condition.

Police say the shooting may have happened during a party.

The shooting is under investigation.
