National recognition for UAlbany
UAlbany and its School of Education are getting national recognition. U.S. News and World Report ranks the school’s online graduate program, number four across the country. This is the seventh year in a row the program has landed in the top 10.
Siena’s “Saint of the Month”
Siena College and the Capital District YMCA are honoring Travon Jackson as the “Saint of the Month.”
Jackson is the president of BlueLight Development Group, repurposing space in Albany’s South End. He recently opened the South End Grocery Store in a former McDonald’s building on South Pearl Street – addressing a food desert in that area.
Dave’s coming back to SPAC
Dave Matthews Band is returning to SPAC is July 14 and 15. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 17. The tour coincides with the release of the band’s 10th studio album, “Walk Around the Moon.”

The annual event brings some of the best chefs in the area to prepare a delicious meal paired with wine – all to raise money for the arts.
