Three arrested in Clifton Park on several larceny and fraud charges

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Lashea M. Pettway, 30, of Schenectady, Jessie R. Gabriel, 34, of Schenectady, and Christin M. McGrath, 45, of Selkirk, on several larceny and fraud charges following a complaint made in November 2024.

Officials responded to an inactive larceny call at the Capital District DDSO facility on 902 Main Street in Clifton Park on November 20 around 2:22 p.m.

Authorities say investigation into the complaint resulted in arrests of the three individuals.

Pettway is accused of stealing debit card information from four different residents of the DDSO, said police.

Officials say Gabriel is accused of stealing debit card information from three different residents of the DDSO, using it to pay for food 12 different times, with the intent to defraud assuming another person’s identity.

McGrath is accused of stealing debit card information from two different residents of the DDSO, using it to pay for food with the intent to defraud assuming another person’s identity, said police.

Pettway was charged with four counts of fourth-degree grand larceny.

Gabriel was charged with three counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, three counts of third-degree identity theft, and 12 counts of petit larceny.

McGrath was charged with third-degree identity theft, two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, and petit larceny.

The Sheriff’s Office says all three individuals were released on appearance tickets pending further proceedings.
