Three arrests made in Green Island for possession of narcotics and weapons
The Albany County Sheriff’s Office said they arrested three people on Friday on narcotics and weapons related charges after executing a search warrant in Green Island.
The Sheriff’s Office and the Green Island Police Department located quantities of cocaine, powdered fentanyl, fake oxycodone pills pressed with fentanyl, and digital scales commonly used for distribution and sale of narcotics.
Authorities also located three illegally possessed loaded firearms, nun-chucks, and brass kunckles.
The individuals arrested were Jody J. Rogalo Jr., 32, Green Island, Katelyn J. Somers, 34, Green Island, and Michelle O. Riddle, 54, Watervliet.
Somers was charged with:
- Three counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Three counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia
- Seven counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Four counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
Rogalo Jr. was charged with:
- Three counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Three counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia
- Seven counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Four counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Four counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
Riddle was charged with one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and released on an appearance ticket. She is due to appear in Green Island Court at a later date, said the Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say Rogalo Jr. and Somers were taken to Albany Correctional Facility as pre-arraign detainees and are due to appear in court on April 6.
