Three Gansevoort residents killed in Maryland crash
Three people from Gansevoort, including a 1-year-old child, were killed in a head-on crash in Maryland on Sunday.
The crash happened just before 3 a.m. on Route 13 in Wicomico County. Dean Alexander Dennison, 21, was driving south in a Subaru. He was struck by a Dodge Durango driven by 59-year-old Jay Richard Bynum, which was going north in the southbound lane, according to the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office.
A GoFundMe has been set up for three people from Gansevoort, including a 1-year-old child, who were killed in a head-on crash in Maryland on Sunday.
The crash happened just before 3 a.m. on Route 13 in Wicomico County, in the Salisbury area.
Dean Alexander Dennison, 21, was driving south in a Subaru. He was struck by a Dodge Durango driven by Jay Richard Bynum, 59, of Delaware, which was going north in the southbound lane, according to the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office.
Dennison and a passenger, 20-year-old Sierra Rain Merchant, were pronounced dead at the scene. A 1-year-old child, Grayson A. Dennison, later died at a hospital.
Bynum was flown by helicopter to a Baltimore trauma center.
The crash is under investigation. Charges are pending, police said.
The family was traveling to the Outer Banks for a vacation.
