Tonko, Stefanik cruise to re-election

U.S. Rep. Paul Tonko and U.S. Rep Elise Stefanik easily won re-election.

Tonko, a Democrat, easily defeating Republican challenger Kenneth Waltz, who is a law student. Tonko had 64% compared with 36%, with 63% of the vote counted.

U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-Schuylerville also cruised to a sixth term with 63% of the vote over Democratic challenger Paula Collins, according to 80% of the vote.
