Troy man faces decades in prison for drugs, weapons convictions

A Troy man is facing up to 35 years in prison after being convicted on drug and weapons charges.
Royal Teasley, 38, was arrested in December 2023 after police searched his home at 320 6th Avenue. Investigators found half a kilogram of cocaine, over an eighth of an ounce of methamphetamine a ghost gun and digital scales and packaging for drugs, according to the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office.
Teasley was selling narcotics out of his home, according to prosecutors.
Teasley was convicted of four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of criminal possession of a weapon and criminally using drug paraphernalia.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan 16.
