Troy man gets 14-year prison term for fifth felony conviction

A Troy man was sentenced to 14 years in prison for his fifth felony conviction in 10 years.
Qon Pringle, 27, was arrested in January 2024 after parole officers searched his residence and found a loaded 9mm pistol, according to the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office.
Pringle was convicted at trial of criminal possession of a weapon.
District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly said this is Pringle’s third conviction for a gun offense. Donnelly said Pringle is a known associate of the Troy YGz gang and an influencer of gun violence in the community.
