Troy man gets over 11 years in prison on drug, gun charges

A Troy man was sentenced on Friday to over 11 years in prison on drug and gun charges.
Richawn McClain, 26, had previously admitted to possessing a handgun that had been modified to turn it into a machinegun. McClain also had 900 fentanyl pills, 32 grams of cocaine and nearly $23,000 in drug proceeds, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
He received a sentence of 137 months in prison and also must serve four years of post-release supervision. McClain also must avoid contact with the Young Gunnerz and 380 gangs, in which he had leadership roles, prosecutors said.
