The Troy Police Department is holding its first graduation ceremony for its Citizens Police Academy.

The program is designed to develop relationships and understanding between law enforcement and the community.

The graduation ceremony is happening next Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the Troy Police Department Central Station.

During the 10 weeks of classes, students have studied criminal and penal law, firearms safety and more.
