Troy Police investigate Memorial Day shooting

One person was shot near Ridge Drive in a wooded area, Troy Police said in a Twitter post Monday morning. The victim was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident appears to have been isolated, police said. Police are not yet identifying the suspect, but said there is no threat to the surrounding community.

There will be increased police activity in that area of Troy while police investigate.

Anyone who witnessed anything out of the ordinary in that area Monday morning is being asked to call Troy detectives at (518) 270-4421.
