Mantello declares victory in Troy mayoral race; First female mayor elected in city
Troy City Council President Carmella Mantello will now be the city’s mayor. The Republican declared victory Tuesday evening against Democratic Rensselaer County Legislator Nina Nichols.
Troy City Council President Carmella Mantello will now be the city’s mayor.
The Republican declared victory Tuesday evening against Democratic Rensselaer County Legislator Nina Nichols.
Mantello has served as Troy City Council president since 2016.
She replaces two-term outgoing Mayor Patrick Madden, who did not run again due to term limits.
