Two hurt in North Adams fire

A fire in North Adams injured a resident and a firefighter on Friday.

It broke out around 1 p.m. at 149 Pleasant St., according to NewsChannel 13 media partners at The Berkshire Eagle. The fire was quickly put out, but it damaged the inside.

The resident came out of the building and fell, splitting open his head, North Adams Mayor Jennifer Macksey told the paper.

A firefighter cut his hand, but is OK.

The cause is under investigation.
