Two in custody in connection to Colonie Inn and Suites police presence on Friday
Two people are now in custody in connection to a police presence at a motel in Colonie on Friday.
Around 5 p.m., police received a report of a person with a weapon and possible shots fired into the air at Colonie Inn and Suites on Loudon Road.
It was also reported that the suspects took off in a white SUV a short time later.
At the scene, police say they found no evidence of a shooting, but the white SUV was found on alternate Route 7 a short time later.
Inside the vehicle, police say they found two BB guns that were used in the incident at the motel, as well as crack cocaine.
Two men from Troy are in jail in connection to the incident.
Trent Bariteau is charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
Shaliek Townsend is charged with criminal possession of drugs, reckless driving, and fleeing an officer.
Nobody was injured and there is no threat to the public.
